How to Measure

For the most reliable measurements, ask a professional seamstress or tailor to measure you. If measuring at home, use a flexible tape and keep it level and comfortably close to your body without pulling it tight.

Bust: With your arms relaxed, measure around the fullest part of your bust and across your back.

Waist: Measure around your natural waist, where your torso bends when you lean to the side.

Hips: Stand with your feet together and measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat.

Our dresses come in standard sizes and are not custom-made to your measurements. In most cases, professional alterations will be needed to achieve your best fit.

Description

Elion is a beaded evening gown with a structured strapless bodice, a high slit and a detachable overskirt. The fitted base dress keeps a long, close silhouette, while the overskirt adds a broader sweep from the waist. Its sweetheart neckline has a sculpted outline, and the embellished tulle gives the surface texture throughout. Photographs with and without the overskirt show the two presentations of the same dress.

This design suits prom, a formal reception or an evening event where you want a train-like effect without losing a fitted base silhouette. The overskirt is the main styling feature, so our suggestion is to keep accessories relatively simple and choose shoes that work with the slit. Compare the individual color photographs for differences in contrast and sparkle; the darker shades and Silver/Nude bring out the embellishment in different ways.

Eligible U.S. online returns must be requested within 7 calendar days of delivery. We do not issue refunds. Eligible returns receive store credit only after the merchandise is received, inspected and approved by The Dress Shop. Store credit does not expire.
